Are you, or your friend, or your daughter/son, struggling to navigate nutrition needs while away in college? Well, luckily, you’ve found the right place. Pre-COVID-19 pandemic this was a passion of mine that I never sought coming to fruition, but here at LCWNS we’re all about finding a silver lining. When I thought about how we as outpatient dietitians could help reach a larger population, to help people adjust to a new way of normal, while attaining healthier habits, I realized we could utilize Zoom to spread our knowledge all from the comfort of our own homes to the apartments, sorority/fraternity houses and dorm rooms of college students.

As a University of Michigan alumni, I experienced firsthand the overwhelming amount of food choices, and confusion about what to eat, when to eat, and how/how much to eat. Now I am here to answer the most common question I am asked – “How do I do this?”

With an extremely flexible “routine”, finding nutrition and lifestyle balance while away from home can be difficult. In a time of social media influencers flooding the nutrition space, knowing what is “right” or “how” to eat can be overwhelming and downright confusing. For some college students, food, body image and exercise were already a struggle, and thus navigating those waters in school brings up new thoughts and challenges. For other students, this was never a thought in high school, but now you may notice you have begun to question your food choices, exercise motivations and daily intentions.

That is why I’ve created Paige’s Nutrition Palette. I invite you to join me on Zoom, Sunday nights with your college friends, home friends, sorority sisters, or any combination that suites you to learn the basics of navigating your wellness journey, figure, ‘nutrition 101’. There will be no homework assignments or exams.  This will be a space to get the facts, learn how to eat mindfully, nourish your body adequately, and to get your nutrition questions answered by a NYC Registered Dietitian (me!), who has been in your shoes.

How does it work?

Simply gather 5-10 of your friends that are interested in learning more about nutrition, and find a Sunday night that works (other week nights flexible as well). You could schedule online at or email for more information. Each session is $20 for a 1 hour group session, packages available upon request for multiple sessions. At the end of each session, all group participants will be entered into a raffle to win a complementary, 15-minute private nutrition session. Any group participants who would like to dive into more personalized nutrition education or counseling, can receive a discounted session rate upon scheduling an individual private session.

  • What are healthier night-time snacks?
  • What can I be eating differently to decrease bloat and have clearer skin?
  • How do I drink and not gain weight?
  • How much pasta is okay to eat?
  • How do I know how to portion my food?
  • What is Intuitive Eating?
  • How often should I exercise?
  • Is it okay to eat after 8 pm?
