Winter Yoga Classes

We offer semester-long (ranging from 4 to 14 weeks) classes plus drop-in classes. 

This is the no judgment zone – leave bias at the door and come with an open mind. 

Wear comfy clothes and bring a mat.

For girls to develop a loving relationship with their bodies! Move with your body not against it and learn all bodies fit. This is peace, love and poses!

Winter theme: The SEVEN CHAKRAS a semester filled with friendship while learning about the Chakras! Classes will review the seven chakras, working from the first chakra through to the seventh chakra. Themes will surround grounding and rooting and even how aligning the chakras can help with energy and anxiety. All of our classes aim to help our students develop body positivity, self-worth and a sense of community.

Each chakra lesson will review asana (yoga postures), foods, associated scents / essential oils, mindfulness meditations with an arts & craft activity. Under the umbrella of positive self-care, class discussion will help the students understand how to apply the 7 chakras to self, friendships and community creating a lifestyle of compassion and kindness. 

Tuesdays at 5:30pm

For tweens and teens to develop a healthy relationship with food and body. This semester-long class is a moving meditation on and off the yoga mat, teaching girls body acceptance and mindfulness.

EmpowHER

Ages 15–18 years old

Tuesdays at 6:30pm

To empower young women and help them develop a healthy relationship with food and body. This semester-long class is a moving meditation on and off the yoga mat, teaching body acceptance and mindfulness. Two sessions include mindful eating and nutrition education by a staff dietitian. Think compassion and kindness! Class size is limited to 10 girls. 

Cost is $420.00 for 14 weeks (sessions).

Paint and Poses 6 Week Yoga Series

Grades K through 4

Thursdays at 4pm, starting 1/10/19

Winter/Spring Series (10 week Series). Kids get to be kids with painting for 25 minutes and yoga for 25 minutes. Each week Meagan Janson, RYT (and Karma Kids Certified) will facilitate class around a theme.

Projects will include Paint Your Own Yoga Mat, Beading Breathing Bracelets, Calm Canvas Painting, Positive Mantra Rocks, and Creating Yoga Mandalas and Dream Catchers.

The yoga portion of class will consist of breathing and relaxation techniques for kids, learning fun yoga poses and of course making friends.

Supplies included in class fee except cost of the yoga mat for painting.

10 Weeks $300.00 Starts Thursday, January 10, 2019. Get creative through art and moving your body. Spend 25 minutes painting and 25 minutes flowing. This is a laid back class meant to allow for self expression.

Ages 7-10 Years Old

Yoga basics for older boys to learn how to be grounded as well as flexible on and off the yoga mat. Each class consists of a Vinyasa flow while learning how to breathe mindfully, while instilling self-confidence and self-acceptance.

Ages 10-12 Years Old

Saturdays at 9:00am

Yoga basics for older boys to learn how to be grounded as well as flexible on and off the yoga mat. Each class consists of a Vinyasa flow while learning how to breathe mindfully, while instilling self-confidence and self-acceptance.  

ED Warriors

Ages 16 Years-Adult

Saturdays 1:00-2:15pm

Change your relationship with food, body and exercise, through yoga. This is not a calorie burning activity rather an opportunity to work with your body and get back to yoga basics. Classes are lead by experts in the field of eating disorders including a L’ifestyle Lounge RD and or a LCSW. This class is running as an 8 week series every other week for the Fall of 2017.
